Lincoln University is very proud to embark on the Joint Institute journey with Huazhong Agricultural University and with you the new students. We have a long history of working together through research collaborations, and we now look forward to deepening the linkages between our two organisations through teaching the next generations.

Lincoln University is a specialist, land-based university focused on advancing knowledge to the benefits of society. Our aspirational goal is to be ranked as a top-five land based university and we are very proud to have been ranked number three for Sustainable Development Goal 2 in 2024. This is a testament to our focus on Agriculture and Horticulture food production and education. Lincoln University was established 145 years ago, the oldest Agricultural College in the Southern Hemisphere.

We are proud to partner with Huazhong Agricultural University as a strategic partner, deepening our relationships in China and building on the research and teaching strengths of both Institutions. We share common purpose and values – to enhance the lives of our students and undertake research and training to better society.

Lincoln University has a focused suite of degree programmes and share the common goal of equipping every student with a strong foundation for lifelong learning, positioning them for future career success and making an impact in the land-based sector. Our shared students will represent both Universities as the embark on their careers.
